Huang group (Brainmicro-EngineeringLab)
the Biological Engineering Department of the Utah State University is actively looking for one postdoctoralresearcher to join us. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. degree. We are especially interested in research background of microfluidics and microfabrication.
Research: Dr. Huang’s research has been well published in Nature Biotechnology, ACS Nano, Nanoscale, and Lab on a Chip. His research interest is centered on the development of microfluidics, 3D printing scaffold, and nanomaterials for brain biomedical research, spanning three areas: (1) Brain Cancer Invasion. (2) Neural Micro-engineering. (3) Stem Cell Micro-patterning and 3D Co-culture.
Academics: The Utah State University (USU) is the flagship university of the state of Utah. USU are among best colleges by both US News and Forbes. Popular Science called it one of the Top 10 Smartest Schools in the nation. Forbes ranked the university No. 95 in Public Colleges.
Location: The main campus, Logan, is ranked as “top 3 college town” by Livability.com. Logan is located in northern Utah’s Cache Valley, 80 miles northeast of Salt Lake City and within a day’s driving distance of six national parks. The surrounding area, including ski resorts, lakes, rivers, and mountains, makes Utah State one of the finest recreational environments in the nation.
Resources: You will have full access to a big range of biological and engineering equipment/tools. This includes BSL2 culture facility, Microfabrication facility, Electron Microscope, Atomic Force Microscope, confocal, environment-controlled microscope, HPLC, PCR, protein analysis, plate reader, flow cytometry etc. In addition, you will also have access to the collaborative facility, such as super-resolution microscope and ultra-centrifugation.
